Tuesdays are for...

Biostats.

It's my theme of the day, every Tuesday.

...though I never really remember that.

Today I had a very long day at work, and as I punched out and skipped home I was looking forward to only one thing: the arrival of my new hula hoop. I couldn't wait. I'd been sitting on pins and needles for days. Pacing around. Refreshing the tracking information.

Waiting.
Interminable waiting.

But today I found it sitting on my doorstep, waiting for me.

I threw open the door, tossed all my things aside, and ripped into the box. I started looking around trying to figure out how much stuff I would have to move out of my way since it's such a large hoop, and that, THAT is when I saw it.

The giant red note I'd left myself on the mirror:
"Dear Me: DO YOUR DAMN BIOSTATISTICS HOMEWORK!!!
Also I love you, you're wonderful."

Curses!!

You're calling me! More on this later!

  1. Lol! So: hula-hooping, huh? (I totally get you on that whole refreshing the tracking info business, btw...that's one of my favorite things to do in life...track packages online. I feel like Nancy Motherfucking Drew. Someone somewhere could literally be making all of it up, for all I know--it wouldn't matter. I would still just be elated to learn that it has left the supposed shipping facility in whatever no-name town and is being processed approximately 10 minutes from my house for about 5 days straight. It's awesome.) What kind of package, by the by, does a hula hoop even come in? Certainly not an ovular cardboard tube? At any rate: that video you sent was pretty enticing. That's gotta be good for you, all that. I kept feeling like it would be epic if there were flames involved. When Jay and I went to see Emilie Autumn, the littlest gal did flaming hula hoop dancing, and it was sexy as all get out.

I love your notes to yourself...perhaps I should try that.

I'm falling asleep, but wanted to check out your blog1 Because I heart you!

    Buenos noches!
