What a strange day today was!
I woke up this morning in a pretty good mood. I finished scrubbing all the carpets and got a handle on the rest of the housework. A little later my sister came over and we hung out for most of the day. We've somehow become pretty good friends over the past six months or so. Anyway, she's currently camped out in my living room.
Also, I'm moving in with her. Like, now-ish. Like giving my notice of intent to break my lease in the morning. I know, right? Where did that come from?
I'm sad to be leaving my lovely apartment, particularly since I just got it looking the way I wanted it to recently, but I am happy for a lot of other reasons.
I'll tell you all about it the next time we get to talk. I miss you tons.

Why the sudden change? I thought she had kids?
ReplyDeleteThe why is complicated, but what it boils down to is that she asked me to and she's my sister. Ha! :) She has one kid, he's six, and basically a clone of me. He likes to read and collect fossils and he's always incredibly well behaved so it shouldn't be an issue. We lived with Goose's sister and her 3 demon children for a year a while back, if I can survive that, I can survive anything.
ReplyDeleteOh that's cool, I imagine living alone got rather boring fast. Think you'll still be able to come visit us sometime after graduating, or has that filled up your schedule?
ReplyDeleteI don't mind living alone, I'm actually really fond of it, but Sister has a huge place with a yard...I have a dog... I'm sure you can see the appeal. These 4am walks in the dead of winter are not something I am looking forward to. :)
ReplyDeleteHeck yes, I'm coming! It's going to have to be over a weekend because my ability to get time off in the winter is severely impeded, and after the first of the year. Let me know when is good for you guys, I know Brian works like....always. <3
